Broadcast from Sept. 13 to 24, 2021. Topic 12: How do you make your favorite food? As you know, I like cooking. What do you like to cook? I like to cook using things that are in my refrigerator. What did you make last night, for example? I made my specialty. Oh, your specialty? How do you make it? First, I take the tofu out of my refrigerator.  The next step is the most difficult. Listen carefully! Peel some ginger or syouga and grate it. Then, put the grated ginger on the top of the tofu. Ok. And what’s next? The final step is add the soy sauce and eat it. Hiyayakko I know that dish. Exactly, Tofu with the toppings, like spring onions negi , grated ginger, and katsuo bushi . Is that cooking? (All laughed) Of course, it is. I was tutoring a student for his two-month programs. I suggested he should listen to English everyday. One of the ways was listening to NHK Gogaku in the morning from 6:15 to 7. Purpose: for studying, learning Japanese history and culture. ----------------------- Tues. 7 Aug. 2018 Platform C8 23:45 Shinjuku Bus Terminal, seat 09C ----------------------- Wed. 8 Aug 2018 08:45 arr. Kanazawa sta.west exit 9:00 buy Shinkansen ticket u/ 10 August Kanazawa - Takasaki ¥12,000 Takasaki-Gyoda Futsu no takasaki sen 9:30 - 11:02 Kanazawa-Fukui JR Hokuriku platform no.3 pass 20 sta. ¥1,320 Get off at Maruoka, No one’s there to check my ticket. I can’t get a refund. Took a taxi to Maruoka caste. No bus came, only 6 buses come in a day. ¥450 x2 = ¥900 for a couple who helped me take a taxi. Taxi cost ¥1,670 one way, from Maruoka sta. To Maruoka Castle. Bus terminal is near Sakai City hall. Koyasan Trip, August 22nd - 25th 2017

Koyasan travel If you need, rent Koyasan audio guide 500 yen from the tourist center. I did not rent it. 7:00 arrived at Willer bus office Umeda building. Walked to Umeda station for Midosuji line. Get off at Namba station. This is how to walk from Willer Bus Office to Umeda Station. Walk along the Willer Bus Office (Umeda building is on your right), go straight, turn left, walk down the tunnel, walk up the stairs, cross the junction, turn right at the intersection, go straight, go along the building, keep the building on your left side. 8:00 Change voucher of Nankai Namba Koyasan World Heritage Ticket  8:19 got on the train, change at Hashimoto sta. Total commuting: 2 hrs. Take the front train car. A short trip to Gifu

Gifu Trip Report  Monday, 25th July 2016 4:15 Got up 5:00 got out & park the car 5:34 train from Gyoda to Shinjuku 6:39 Shinjuku, Walk to willer exprss shin minamiguchi 4th floor 7:05 bus from Shinjuku to takayama         stopped at Dangozaka service area and Suwako SA 12:35 arrived at takayama nouhi basu terminal 13:00 rental car toyota 14:00 shirakawago Jin, nagase, kanda houses @300円= 900 Basically all structures are the same, five-storey houses. Soba lunch 650 yen (bland) Go to Tensyukaku walking uphill. The view was Really nice. Pictures of Shirakawago were mostly taken from here. It was rainy when I went there. Couldn't go sightseeing all. 17:00 went from shirakawago to gujohachiman  Tol road 1220yen. Tol road back 1180 yen 19:00 checked in at Hotel gujohachiman 6,040円 Tuesday, 26th July 2016 5:00 get out, drive to Enashi sakaori, drove for 2 hrs 6:00 shooting sakaori, rice terrace. These are notes that I made long time ago when I was a lecturer.  I want to throw away the note; however, I want to keep the record in digital. It's a review and a typing exercise for me.
